Osh, the Eternal Keeper - The Boss of Asgard

Lore

We can take note that a major player in the lore behind Osh lies with Nebula and Judge

The Elemental Tournament Shop holds soul stones for Nebula, K'arkh, Andvari and Sebastian. Perhaps they are key characters in defeating related guild bosses? Interestingly, K'arkh is featured here with the very character that can counter him, Andvari!

This is the video produced by HW to introduce you to this game mode:

Osh's Skills

Learning more about buffs and using the points you've achieved in the first phase is key.

Stardome: The Stardome is orbited by the Defense Spheres it generates. The Spheres are activated on approach, attacking nearby heroes. At the same time, they can be attacked to deal significant damage to the Stardome.

Wormhole: Osh creates a Wormhole that begins attracting all around it and dematerializes the remaining Defense Spheres on the battlefield. Each Sphere that enters the Wormhole damages all heroes.

  • Note that you avoid damage from them entering if they have all been destroyed (dealing damage to the stardome instead of you...)

Meteor Shower: A Meteor Shower blazes through the battlefield, damaging all heroes for the duration of 5 seconds.

Planet Parade: All Defense Spheres remaining on the battlefield line up for a Planet Parade for the duration of 5 seconds. If all Spheres are destroyed before the Parade ends, Osh awakens and boosts the remaining heroes for 5 seconds.

Nightmare Visions: The Defense Spheres that are not destroyed during a Planet Parade force the heroes to succumb to sleep, unleashing Nightmare Visions that attack other heroes. To awaken the heroes, their Nightmares must be defeated. Once the Nightmares perish, Osh awakens and boosts the remaining heroes by 5 seconds.

Potential Osh Teams

In the next video, Gunner (below) shows some of the top auto-teams used in high-level gameplay. Understanding why these teams work is key to success in this mode. In most cases, the non-core heroes of each team can be swapped for heroes you have at higher power until you have the best heroes possible.

Take note that each hero can only be used in one battle attack. No one hero can attack in multiple attacks you get over the weekend's boss raid.

Recommendations for these OP teams were made by Gunner on his YT: linkhere

  1. Rufus, Astaroth, K'arkh, Dante, Jhu with Albus
  2. Arachne, Mojo, Orion, [Augustus], Dorian with Merlin
  3. Corvus, CelesteHeidiAiden, and Thea with Albus
  4. Aurora, Tristan, [Turtles], Qing Mao, Cornellius with Axel
  5. IsaacNebulaSebastian, [Lara Croft], Martha, with Albus
Underlined heroes are core to the team synergy above and are simply required for the team to work well against Osh. Heroes that are not underlined can more easily be replaced until the other heroes are leveled for use against Osh.

[Unique Heros] in brackets may need to be replaced with other similar heroes for those who do not own them. Underlined heroes are core to the lineup against Osh and should remain in your lineup against Osh.

If you do not have Lara Croft, then use Jhu. Replace Jhu on the first team lineup with another high-damage dealer.

Key Takeaways

It's all about destroying the defense spheres. Several heroes do that the best. Figure out your own teams to highlight some of these strategies with the heroes that will survive the level your guild as set the boss.

  • Jhu can survive all by himself and does massive damage in this mode
  • Orion can deliver death blows to the spheres
  • Isaac, when used manually, can destroy the spheres quickly with their charges
  • Mass-damage dealers such as K'arkh, Kiera or Galahad can deliver quick clearance of the spheres all at once, especially in manual mode
  • Use Orion, Cornellius, or Orion to deliver damage to the stardome to awaken Osh to receive benefits
  • Use shields such as Rufus before the meteor shower, or use healing triggers immediately after this occurs in manual mode

What are the Ascension Rewards REALLY good for?!

Review the value of the Ascension tree and be careful about how and when you spend the mana. Decide early on which 1-2 limbs of the tree you will focus heavily on and stay focused on them! The same is true for the heroes that receive the mana crystals for individual hero ascension.

Anyone can get skin stones - that's easy. Go ahead and max out Sparks of the Elements, skins, and skills. Everyone does that.

Don't be a player who overlooks Asgard and these game modes because they are truly a massive source of power for high-level play, and the sooner you get started with manual game modes like Asgard, the better.

IMO this game mode is WAY MORE important than the Sanctuary for pets.

I'll make a post listing the Ascenions skills that I can find in another post.
